SeatAdvisor, Inc. Addresses Venture Capital Audience at VentureNet 2001
SAN DIEGO - May 31, 2001 - SeatAdvisor, Inc. was one of a select group of companies chosen to address an audience of venture capitalists and investment bankers at VentureNet 2001 on May 29th, 2001.
Jack Rubin, SeatAdvisor's president and chief executive officer, represented the company and delivered its presentation.
"We were pleased to be able to present our business model at this select conference," states Rubin. "The SeatAdvisor vertical application service provider model is compelling in today's profit-oriented investment environment. We are replacing software in use that is more than fifteen years old and does not have the functionality, labor saving design or Internet channel capability."
He continues, "SeatAdvisor is transaction based and offers consumers the best ticket-buying experience on the Internet with lower fees than competitors. We will soon be launching a complete box office ticketing and management system using software hosted and delivered over the Internet and provided at no cost to the venue."
SeatAdvisor, which was initially launched with "angel" and venture capital, has initiated a second or "B" round of funding that is expected to rapidly expand sales and achieve profitability.
"Since we are focused on a large and very targeted market with a private- label solution, we don't need to spend capital to build a consumer brand name," notes Rubin. "The company is designed to use the power of the Internet to operate at low costs, and therefore we are able to pass those advantages onto consumers and our ticketing partner clients. Ticket sellers have been highly impressed with our solution."
Founded in 1998, SeatAdvisor, Inc. has been conducting commerce since January 2000. The company uses advance technology to produce innovative SeatMaps that even allow ticket buyers to see a view of the stage online prior to selecting which seats to purchase. Thus far, SeatAdvisor has produced SeatMaps for more than 600 venues throughout the country that are live on the Internet as part of the SeatAdvisor Network. In addition, SeatAdvisor provides Internet ticketing to more than 75 ticketing partners nationwide.
Rubin concludes, "The powerful Oracle database in our system allows unified ticketing across all distribution channels. Any computer with an Internet connection can operate as a box office with a secure connection."
