Amon G. Carter Stadium at Texas Christian University (TCU) is an impressive structure. This open-air football stadium has a grass field and seats over 46,000.
In the world of sports, TCU is perhaps best known for its bright purple uniforms and unusual mascot: the Horned Frog. The football team plays in the Western Athletic Conference and has experienced a turnaround recently. A few years ago the team had a losing record of 1-10, but the 2000 season finished at 10-1.
The stadium is quite festive on game day. Purple banners adorn the entry gates and the crowd comes ready to cheer on their Horned Frogs.
