Breeders’ Cup Ticketholders May Resell Event Tickets They Can No Longer Use Safe, Secure Transactions 100% Guaranteed through the Breeders’ Cup

June 29, 2015

SAN DIEGO, CA–LEXINGTON, KY–(Breeders Cup – June 29, 2015) – The Breeders’ Cup today announced the return of TicketResell by SeatAdvisor, a ticketing feature that provides ticketholders more flexibility and security when selling and purchasing tickets for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. TicketResell is an online tool that allows patrons to resell tickets they can no longer use back to the Breeders’ Cup primary ticket inventory. The Breeders’ Cup, Thoroughbred racing’s premier international event, will be held at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31.

TicketResell was developed by SeatAdvisor, Inc., a global ticketing software company and the official box office software provider of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships since 2008. This is the third consecutive year that the TicketResell program has been made available to Breeders’ Cup patrons. With TicketResell, if patrons are no longer able to attend the event, they are now able to resell event tickets directly through their online account held with the Breeders’ Cup. A desired resell price is set by the seller, and tickets are then added to the accessible inventory and made available for buyers.

All transactions are 100% secured and guaranteed by Breeders’ Cup, unlike other secondary market resellers. Upon being sold, patrons are able to recoup the original cost of the tickets minus a minimal servicing fee.

“We understand that even after purchasing tickets some of our guests may not be able to attend, and other patrons may wish to purchase tickets for a section that is currently sold out,” said Breeders’ Cup President and CEO Craig Fravel. “TicketResell provides fans with a reasonable market for tickets in a secure location, which removes the risk of counterfeiting.”

“TicketResell was engineered to equip our clients with the ability to securely assist patrons that can no longer use their tickets to an event. We are thrilled by the success Breeders’ Cup has demonstrated using the feature over the past several years, as it reflects our mission to aide venues of all kinds in providing superior customer service to ticket buyers.” Brent Miller, CEO, SeatAdvisor, Inc.

In addition to being more convenient and safe for patrons, the TicketResell technology helps the Breeders’ Cup better manage ticket inventory. The event will also be more accessible as tickets that may go unused can be resold.

Ticketing Industry Pioneer Unveils Plans for System Upgrade

April 29, 2014

SAN DIEGO, CA–(Marketwired – April 29, 2014) – SeatAdvisor, Inc. celebrates its 15th anniversary today since entering the ticketing industry in 1999. SeatAdvisor Box Office (SABO) software, used by thousands of organizations and venues worldwide, has facilitated 56 million ticket sales, representing $1.3 billion dollars in global consumer spending over the past 13 years. Originally positioned as one of the first companies to provide interactive seat maps for venues, SeatAdvisor has been a pioneer from the start. After expanding its business model in 2001, SeatAdvisor became the first ticketing solution fully hosted on the Internet with interactive SeatMaps. SeatAdvisor was also the first box office software to offer 360-degree panoramic views of venues. Most recently, the company has taken the lead in being the first provider of private labeled ticket resale technology.

Originally founded by Brent Miller, Steve Souza and Terry Christensen, the company now operates under the direction of Brent Miller, CEO, and Steve Souza, CTO. SeatAdvisor, Inc. oversees subsidiary companies in several continents and is currently the premiere racetrack ticketing provider in the U.S., representing Churchill Downs/Kentucky Derby, the Breeders’ Cup, the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, and Colonial Downs to name a few. In the U.S., SeatAdvisor also represents Sotheby’s and The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in addition to hundreds of performing arts and academic institutions across 39 states. Privately labeled, the system assists clients in maintaining a seamless sales flow across all sales channels, including mobile devices.

“In reflecting on our company’s history these past 15 years, it is clear that our dedication to providing the best ticketing experience for both the venue and the patron is what has secured our longevity in the industry,” Miller said, adding that 56 million tickets is no small accomplishment. “Staying ahead of trends and consumer needs is what we do best.”

The SABO ticketing system includes ticketing, marketing, fundraising, CRM and resale functionality. However, SeatAdvisor’s anniversary celebration featured a presentation by Chris Snyder, Vice President of Engineering, unveiling new plans for a system redesign.

“It’s time to plan for the next 15 years of SeatAdvisor’s evolution, and we intend to maintain our reputation as an industry ‘pioneer,'” Snyder explained. “We are currently engineering an even more robust version of SABO that adheres to current e-commerce standards and features many new enhancements, both aesthetically and functionally, in our effort to remain competitive in the market place.”

There is no formal release date yet for the latest version, as the company is planning for a gradual transition. Last month the company began releasing many new enhancements to its current users. Additional releases regarding the redesign are expected throughout 2014.

“SeatAdvisor is prepared for a rebranding that more appropriately markets SABO as a full venue management system, inclusive of the comprehensive ticketing features that have anchored the software thus far,” said Brendan Hanke, SeatAdvisor’s VP of Sales.

SeatAdvisor, Inc. Adds ‘ TicketResell ‘ to Box Office Software

New Technology Helps Patrons Resell Event Tickets, Creates Additional Revenue for Venues

July 18, 2013

SAN DIEGO, CA–(Marketwired – July 18, 2013) – Global ticketing software company SeatAdvisor, Inc. today unveiled the newest feature to join its already powerful box office software, SABO (SeatAdvisor Box Office). TicketResell by SeatAdvisor, the company’s solution to recent trends in the secondary ticket market, is a new technology that enables participating venues to work directly with patrons, giving them the ability to resell event tickets through the venue’s primary inventory.

Venues with TicketResell are able to better maintain control of all ticket inventory, rather than competing against those selling tickets on the secondary ticket market, and provide a safe, trusted method of reselling tickets for patrons. Through TicketResell, patrons can resell event tickets directly through online accounts held with the venue and determine desired resell price. Tickets are then instantly added to the organization’s accessible inventory and made available for purchase. Social media integration also allows patrons to post ticket availability to social platforms including Facebook and Twitter for increased visibility of newly available tickets and exposure for the venue.

“Our clients work hard to produce and maintain quality events and are always looking for ways to better manage ticket inventory,” said VP of Engineering for SeatAdvisor, Chris Snyder. “TicketResell helps our clients maintain control of their secondary ticket market, a first for the industry. It also benefits patrons looking for a safe way to resell tickets they can no longer use, and provides authentic access to tickets for high-demand events removing the risk of counterfeiting.”

SeatAdvisor, Inc. works with more than 3,000 venues in the arts and sports market throughout the U.S., Australia, Europe, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, Mexico and Caribbean, with Churchill Downs/ Kentucky Derby, Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences and Tao Group among its clients. Dozens of SABO venues have expressed interest in activating TicketResell with the intention of accommodating patrons and capturing sales that might otherwise be lost to scalpers or resellers.

Other innovations from SeatAdvisor include HTML seat maps that grant audiences the ability to select specific seats on all operating systems and mobile devices, 360 Pano, high-resolution 360 degree views of the venue’s interior as visible from the seat location, and the iScan mobile app, a laser barcode scanner for instant and affordable scanning and access control.

Box Office Software Puts Fans in Seats Without Leaving the House
SeatAdvisor, Inc. Integrates HTML Seat Maps and Unveils Panoramic Views

Apr 11, 2013

SAN DIEGO— (Marketwired – April 11, 2013) – Today SeatAdvisor, Inc. released two significant enhancements to their web-based box office software, SABO (SeatAdvisor Box Office), once again establishing the industry veteran as a leader in online ticketing software. An implementation of new HTML seat maps for all venues served and the debut of a feature branded as 360° Pano sets the stage for a highly advanced, interactive seat selection process unparalleled by any other system or vendor. Venues and organizations operating SABO can now grant audiences the ability to select specific seats to events regardless of the operating system or mobile device the patron is using during the online transaction. 360° Pano further enhances the user experience by providing high-resolution, 360 degree views of the venue’s interior as visible from the seat location.

SeatAdvisor clients aiming to take advantage of 360° Pano will have the option of securing panoramic photos of their venues independently or by enlisting the services of 360iTours, a professional panoramic photography company based in San Diego, CA who has partnered with SeatAdvisor. Once the images are delivered to SeatAdvisor’s Creative Department, they will be uploaded and available to patrons searching for tickets through the venue’s website.

Additionally, 360iTours will publish SeatAdvisor 360º panos to TourWrist — the leading panorama (“pano”) platform enabling consumers to record, view and share 360-degree pano images with social media outlets via smartphones, tablets and computers. The SeatAdvisor 360º Panos on TourWrist will include clickable links — PanoSpots™ — that enable ‘TourWrists’ to book tickets via SABO from the TourWrist (iOS and Android) app, 360iTours app andTourWrist.com

Creative & Marketing Director, Omar Morales, explained, “What’s considered best available for one person might be entirely different for another. Consumers appreciate options, and we’re confident the addition of 360° Pano to SABO will keep the seat selection process exciting and fresh for the millions of ticket buyers we serve world-wide.”

Panoramic views are new for the system, however Java™ based seat maps as well as static photos of venue seats and their views of the stage have always been a part of the company’s foundation. As such, the unveiling of the new HTML seat maps represents a milestone for the company. VP of Engineering for SeatAdvisor, Chris Snyder explained, “Converting the maps to HTML permits us to extend to clients many more customizations and options throughout the online sales flow than ever before. The technology is also non-discriminatory, enabling patrons to purchase tickets from the browser or device of their choice. We are thrilled to demonstrate the improved functionality, performance and speed of SABO as a result of the switch.”

Seatadvisor Debuts Groundbreaking iScan & Mobile App For Ticket Scanning

Feb 14, 2012

SAN DIEGO— After years of heavy and expensive ticket scanners dominating the industry’s hardware market, SeatAdvisor Box Office Solutions has announced the release of the eagerly anticipated iScan.  The unit, manufactured by Mobilogics,  easily connects to the popular iPhone,  iTouch, and iPad instruments.  This small patented device in conjunction with a free app available for download at the iTunes App Store, allows for easy, affordable and efficient ticket scanning for all SABO clients.

The device uses the iTouch’s color coding and sound mechanisms to help ticket takers determine if the ticket holder has an authentic ticket rendering the patron permissible for entry to any given performance or event.  If the ticket is not real or for an alternate performance and/or date, the device will prevent admittance. Upon full charging of the Apple iTouch or iPhone, operators can scan between 5,000 and 7,000 complete scans.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science was the first SeatAdvisor client to utilize the iScan at the 2012 Annual Governor’s Ball in Los Angeles, an incredibly high profile event complimenting the Academy Awards.  The device allowed for secure admittance to the event, and communicated with the SABO system in real time, helping event planners monitor attendance via Access Control reporting.

Clients can now purchase the scanner from the SeatAdvisor Web Store, and pricing starts at just $259 per unit.  While SeatAdvisor is not a vendor for Apple Products, clients can easily purchase the required Apple instruments from most electronic retailers, online and in person.
