Secure, Reliable and Scalable Solution
At SeatAdvisor we recognize the importance of having a system that is secure, reliable and scalable which is why we use Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host our cloud-based solution. AWS state-of-the-art data centers provide complete physical and environmental security. This includes carefully controlling who can physically access the data center, fire detection and suppression and fully redundant uninterruptible power. All the data is automatically replicated at another data center with automatic failover to eliminate any potential downtime. Because AWS has tremendous computing capacity available, we can scale up our systems to handle any size on-sale.
Industry Standard Data Security
Compliance with the continuingly evolving data security standards is critical to ensuring the safety of credit card transaction data for our global customers. We recognize the importance of ensuring our compliance, which is why we have processed over $2 Billon in transactions and have never had a data breach.
We adhere to the PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry-Data Security Standard) requirements. PCI DSS is a set of security standards designed to ensure that ALL companies that accept, process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment. We are PCI Level 1 compliant, the highest level which is annually verified by an independent firm. The latest certificate is always on our website.
We also provide PCI Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) which is the latest payment security solution. This solution instantaneously converts confidential credit card information into indecipherable code at the swipe of the card to prevent hacking and fraud. P2PE has become increasingly important to University and Government clients which is why we are an early adopter.
(Chip & PIN or Chip & Signature)
EMV, the global standard for in-person credit card transactions, increases protection against fraud by reducing exposure to counterfeit cards and providing encryption between the credit card terminal and the payment gateway company. Processing companies are so confident of this new technology that they are shifting the chargeback liability to merchants that don’t conform to the new standard starting October 1, 2015.
Changing over to the new credit card terminal will protect the merchants, but it can create a lot of hassle if the ticketing software isn’t upgraded to accept the new form of payment.
SeatAdvisor and Payment Express have joined forces to create an integrated solution. Merchants who use SeatAdvisor Box Office (SABO) with a Payment Express account can use SABO to accept EMV payments, track receipts in SABO and refund EMV payments, with or without the card being present.
“Bringing the ticketing system in house has allowed us to save money, make more money, and it was the best decision I ever made.”
